Hello Everyone!

My name is Ian Sergeant. I was the veterinary surgeon in Caerwys and my practice has been involved as Hon. Veterinary Surgeon to Caerwys Agricultural Show since its inception more than 30 years ago. Since my retirement from the practice in 2009 I have been honoured to have a deeper involvement.

I had not realised how much work went on throughout the year to make this show such a success. In recent years we have also had the good fortune to be blessed with good weather.

I must take this opportunity to congratulate those involved in producing the show with their consistent enthusiasm and good humour throughout the year culminating in a frenzy of activity during the week immediately prior to the event and then the climax of the day itself.

Without these organising stalwarts, the volunteers, the sponsors, the competitors, the stallholders and suppliers and last, but not least, the general public it would not be possible. Over the years the show has gone from strength to strength and we hope that with the continued support of all concerned that 2011 will produce another show to remember. Thank you all for your consistent patronage.

It was a great pleasure and honour to be President of the Caerwys Agricultural Show in 2010.

We were exceptionally lucky with the weather this year, which added to the success of the show and also to the pleasure of the general public attending.The success of the show is mainly due to the hard work and organising of the committee. 

Each section has its secretary who does an excellent job beforehand and during the show day ensuring that everything runs smoothly.

They are to be congratulated on their hard work.
